I currently have a direct connect to a Unix box at 9600 baud. I've constructed a NULL modem adapters with pins 2 & 3 switched and pin 7 straight through for a total of 3 active pins. I can log on to the Unix box using VLT with no problem but when I attempt to 'uucico -r1 -x9 -o -Sfoobar' on the A500 nothing happens. I do have stuff queued up for the machine by 'dmail foobar!root'. The L.sys entry is: foobar Any SER: 9600 5555555 "" \d\r\d\c ogin: uucp sword: uucp I can invoke uucp by logging in as uucp on the Unix box using VLT. I do get the message: shere=foobar I've read the docs but no mention of how to handle a direct UUCP connection. On Unix machines, it's pretty straightforward. I even tried replacing the L.sys phone number using a '-' as per Unix machine. No go. So my problem is that when uucico goes to debug mode at level 9, I see what's happening but the no login response from the Unix box. Appreciate any help. -- jose@hpsad.hp.com
