One of the continuing irritations of Apollo's software is that the error messages never tell you *which* name/file/directory is the problem. "R/W scratch file" doesn't tell me much. It is almost certainly a file in /sys/node_data (or for diskless machines, the `node_data directory). My guess would be to try deleting the "global_rws" and "global_readonly" files since that is where the system allocates temp memory. Also try clearing out the `node_data/ptmp and `node_data/tmp directories.
