So what would be the problem?  The hypothetical 128K ProDOS 8 would use
some of the $D000-FFFF auxiliary memory, and the application would use
the auxiliary $800-$BEFF space.  Great--room for a ProDOS 8 about twice
as big as the current one.

Some applications are almost certainly using the reserved areas of the
auxiliary language card already.  Depending on how many, a 128K ProDOS
might or might not be practical.
