USA Lines: 34 (Gee, back after about two months and I still see people bitch about Atari... oh well) Okay, I just bought an Atari HPC004, otherwise known as the Portfolio, and I have this question... Can anyone with reliable (please, no speculations or rambling tirades about vaporware or Atari's alleged business practices, eh?) information tell me if the memory expansion is forthcoming? I would like to use the HPC-004 as a communications terminal, and would like to explore more possibilities of it's capabilities. By the way, (and this surprised me!) The Good Guys is running a *FULL PAGE* Atari Portfolio ad, and we are including the Parallel Interface and a 32k Memory Card *FOR FREE*. About $130 in accessories thrown in. Needless to say, I finally bought one. Although I work at The Good Guys, Portfolios are sold in another department, and I would not benefit by "advertising" it here, but I post this blurb as a service. My guess is that Atari is throwing in some co-op ad money, and offering the Portfolio/32k Card/Interface at a nice price to our buyers to help Portfolio sales. Of course, as a long time Atari enthusiast, I hope it works. I certainly am reserved about some, shall I be kind, "detractors" that work for the company and disparage the Portfolio... -- (ames att sun)!pacbell! \ Sakura-mendo, CA ucdavis!csusac! - sactoh0!mfolivo the good guys!
