The introduction of the HP-48SX has generated a bunch of these. To the two questions already suggested, I would add two more: (1) How can I FTP to the HP BBS? (answer: you can't), and (2) Where are HP programs archived? Since this newsgroup is unmoderated, it will be important for all of us to agree on a "moderator" for the ATFAQ posting. I would like to nominate Mr. Gariepy and/or Mr. Wickes, arguably two of the most knowledgable participants in this newsgroup. Gentlemen? By the way, I am still awaiting a knowledgable answer to *my* recent question -- "How can you enter alpha mode from within a running program on the HP-48?" The answer I have received from four different people so far (i.e., "I don't have the manual here, but I think you can set one of the system flags") is not correct. Flag -60 selects or deselects (?) alpha *lock* mode, but does not itself turn alpha mode on. I have begun to conclude that, in fact, one *cannot* turn alpha mode on from a program -- a terrible oversight, if true! Mr. Wickes?
