I was worried about the upgrade of our HP 900/835 SE from HP-UX 3.1 to 7.0.
My trouble concerned especially third party software such as informix SQL. 

Well, good news! The upgrade was'nt so difficult!

Things that needed to be heavyly reconfigured and recompiled:
the B. news package (inews, expire, ...)

Things that just needed to be reconfigured and recompiled:
elm

Things that just needed to be recompiled:
smail
one of my very old (but usefull) programs

Things that seems work whitout any change:
informix SQL (whew!)
GNU nethack
GNU emacs (not thoroughly tested)
and a *lot* of our stuff.
