Using a direct line to the 4381 Here are the possiblities I am aware of. 1) Asynch modem connection. 3174 controllers have an option for using an asynch emulation adapter (AEA). 2) SDLC dialup. Requires a Sync. communications adapter. 3) 3270 emulation via 3270 card. Plugs into host via coax to 3174/3274. 4) Token-ring LAN. 3174's have an option avalble for using a token-ring adapter on a network. There's probabally more. I just don't remember right now.
