Background: listserv@icsa.rice.edu gives email access to the info-mac archives, copied from sumex-aim@stanford.edu. This is very much appreciated! However, the program, for some 30-yr-old IBM reason or something, decides that any file with any line longer than 80 bytes must be encoded into so-called LPunch format. It's a trivial format, and in most cases I can just use MS Word to strip off extraneous stuff, but it would be convenient to have a program to decode this.
