On the Mac there is a modem plug with 8 pin connector; on the MicroVax there is a 25 pin RS232 connector. I have a cable from Mac which convert the 8 pin to DB9 connector. However, I have trouble to connect the DB9 to our MicrVax computer. In the Mac manual, it has the followings pin 1 handshake pin 2 handshake pin 3 transmit - pin 4 grd pin 5 receive - pin 6 transmit + pin 7 no connection pin 8 receive + How should I connect this? Since I don't read this newsgroup too often, please mail the answer to me directly. philip@image.me.utoronto.ca
