I'm not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but here goes - Why not transfer them through a modem, or, if the computers are close together, through a null-modem cable? You will need a communications package on each machine (eg. Pro-Comm or Telix on the IBM). This assumes that you do not need any conversion program for the MAC to read the IBM data file, or that if you do, then this conversion can be done either on the MAC or the IBM. This method bypasses your UNIX account all together, and is faster too. Hope this helps, ----->>> mike. P.S. How do you get the MAC files to the IBM? I assume it's through the UNIX account.
