We have a lab full of Mac Pluses with one disk drive.  All the Macs are also
connected to a server via ether net.  However, our system disks are getting
rather large and it is more or less impossible to store anything extra on
the system disk.  Unfortunatly, when someone tries to eject the system
disk to insert a new disk for document storage the system disk is in constant
need of being reinserted.  Not only is this slow its a pain in the you know
what.

Someone recently thought of a possible solution:  If we use some type
of Ram Disk software the system could stay in memory while the floppy
drive can be used to store data.  Our macs all have either 2.5 or 4
megs of memory and we can afford 800k or more of that for a ram disk.

I have never used ram disk software and I'm not sure if this
solution is very viable.  If someone out there uses this kind of setup
please talk to me!  Actually if you can give me any kind of direction
what-so-ever about Ram Disks I would welcome any of your help!
