I have dvidj DVI driver, which can generate DeskJet fonts, so it prints quite fast, but only on the first page; rest pages are garbage. Problem has something to do with incompability of fonts between DeskJet and DeskJet PLUS. So, I use dviselect, which can get pages from dvi-file and generate new, to take one page at a time, and print it with dvidj. Yesterday I wrote a program, which calls dviselect and dvidj for each page of the dvi-file. Here is the problem: how can I get the number of pages from the dvi-file ? (I tried to get code from dvitops's sources, but something went wrong, since it told that ~20 page dvifile has 254000 pages!) -- Arto V.
