I am working on a Sun Sparc with OS version 4.0.3c. When I invoke screen, everything works as expected, except a "finger dbuchtal" causes a core dump where "finger", "finger -l", "who" and "what" work correctly. I have not yet set the suid bit, as suggested, because I am still testing it before installation. Is this the source of my problems, and is the suid necessary for proper usage of the program? Please confine all responses to EMail: I will post a summary if there is general interest. Dave Buchthal
