After I'm finished, if I do a ypcat aliases, all the new ones are in there, but ypmatch tells me there are no such keys in the database. If I do a makedbm -u, I can see em. I copied the /etc/aliases file from my Ultrix 3.1c system ( which is the master server) and ran make on my slave server ( a Sun 3) and it works fine. All of the machines using the slave server see the new entries. Is there a problem with the Ultrix ypmatch or could the database be fouled even though ypcat works? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Drummey harvard!necntc!gordon!jpd Access Technology, Inc.
