Keywords: BMP WINDOWS 3 COLOUR COLOR GRAPHICS Message-ID: <357@casemo.UUCP> Date: 30 Jul 90 13:39:10 GMT Organization: CASE Communications, Columbia, MD Lines: 15 Hello! Can anyone explain why window's BMPs are limited to only 16 colors? This seems as if it would severely limit the range of uses of bmps, especially with the range of video cards that offer up to (and exceding?) 256 colors? Or, am I wrong about a limit on the number of colours? Please tell me that I am, and then explain how to transfer 256 colour files to BMP's that Windows 3.0 can use... Thanks in advance.
