Does anyone have any problem running MS-WIN 3.0 with 1024X768 ATI SVGA mode ?

I recently upgraded my ATI SVGA 1024X768 driver for my WIN 3.0. It works fine
if I just run window applications. But if I run non-window application, 
the system does not go back to window environment properly. Somehow, the mode
has been changed and I have to soft boot the system. I have tried to run
MS-WORD 5.0, Wordperfect and both have the same problem. 

I can run WINDOW fine with non-window applications in regular VGA mode.

Is there any way to solve this problem ?

I have : 25 mhz 80386, 4 Mb RAM, ATI VGA wonder, NEC 3D monitor.
