Kimball) Distribution: usa Organization: University of Minnesota, Minneapolis Lines: 24 Here's the deal: My DecStation 3100 won't read /usr/lib/X11/rgb.txt. I have remade rgb.pag, but nonetheless.... As a result (??) Xprompter won't work, so I've had to use plain tty console login, and 'startx' to startx after login. Further, I've had to change -fg white -bg black to -fg #FFFFFF -bg #000000 in all aliases and .twmrc. Still, I get lots of console messages warning that the X Toolkit can't find "Black" or "black" every time I start an xterm. God alone knows what all else will break when I try to use it. So far I have yet to find any differences in significant files betwixt my DS3100 and the others here. When I use the server args -co '/usr/lib/X11/rgb.txt', I have no luck, and in anycase xinit informs me that RGB_DB is inaccessible when starting X. I am truly befuddled and in rather a pickle, so any help will be much appreciated! --alk anthony l kimball u of mn ahpcrc :
