I'm trying to compile X11R4 along with the servers for mainly VAXStation 3100s running Ultrix 3.X. These systems already have UWS 2.0 installed, but I would like to replace it with R4. I would also like to use the compiled clients on our larger VAX systems. I first configured for it to compile using GCC, and ran the make on a VAXStation 3100 which did nothing else in the meantime. It compiled fine, with a small error in xdm about encryption. However, all the clients respond with "Can't assign requested address" if the clients is run remotely, or "Operation not supported" if run locally with the UWS server running. I tried compiling on a MicroVAX with both gcc and cc, and no different. The server also does not run. GCC is at 1.37.1 and X11R4 is at fix-14. Any suggestions? ============================================================================ Brian O'Neill - Local Internet Access Account Internet: oneill@bu-pub.bu.edu UUCP : ...!bu.edu!bu-pub!oneill
