Message-ID: <27597@netnews.upenn.edu> Date: 30 Jul 90 11:06:48 GMT Sender: news@netnews.upenn.edu Reply-To: adam@ncifcrf.gov Distribution: na Organization: University of Pennsylvania, Language Analysis Project Lines: 45 I just got finished installing the latest 2.11.19 and nntp-1.5.9, and something is very wrong... 1) All my article counts are screwed up in rn, there's over 1 million unread articles in some groups ! 2) I have several hundred files in the form of /var/spool/news/.tmp/rpostXXXX and the number keeps getting larger 3) I'm getting lots of mailer-daemon messages with the header as follows Connected to uunet.uu.net: >>> RCPT To: <<< 550 ... User unknown 550 uunet.uu.net!comp-sys-mac-misc... User unknown and of course, they contain news articles. I basically looked at our old configuration file from the last time nntp was installed, and changed conf.h accordingly... 4) Finally (I think), nntp is rejecting all articles from my feed(s) nntpxmit: 50 offered 0 accepted 50 rejected 0 failed I think I've overlooked something pretty simple, since all this worked before. But it is causing major havoc.... Any help is much appreciated (even RTFM, which I've done, several times!)
