Reduce the capacitance of your High voltage capacitor. This will
reduce your output power, but if your visibility is 3/4 mile
this is not a problem. It should have a voltage rating of twice the 
working voltage, for reliability. 


Use the ratio of the present time (PT) to the desired time (DT) to
determine the new value.
