(Strange 9600 baud modem?) Keywords: Paradyne MPX9600 Message-ID: <2669@inews.intel.com> Date: 3 Aug 90 21:29:59 GMT Sender: news@inews.intel.com Distribution: usa Organization: Intel Corp, Chandler, AZ Lines: 27 Hopefully, this will not bounce, anyway, has anyone heard about/know about the MPX 9600 from Paradyne? It looks like it might be a 9600/7200/4800 baud modem... The ports look okay for serial since the nice magic words DTE is on the back. The box is a nice 3" X 9" X 20". I am very experienced with with RS232, but I have yet to get my breakout box and terminal to communicate with each other except for a pass through mode when the Paradyne box (which is blue) is in a test mode. There is a board above the main board has a call light on the front. The back has a port labeled Analysis and come other info "DCAA/HOT STANDBY EXTERNAL ALARM CONTROL". The internal main board has 9 chips with VTI as the manufactor. 3 other chips are marked AMI. The rest of the chips are small time logic with 1488/1489 (more facts that point to RS232...) #include -- -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Addresses: !Disclaimer: All informtion is my own and is not that khouglan@hopi.intel.com ! my employer.
