I'm looking for software to get my personal finances in order
(though a general database program would help get other things
in order as well).

Ideally I'd like something that'd run under both Unix and DOS
(on a laptop, yet), but if necessary I'd settle for just the latter.

Source in C would be great, though I suppose I could figure something
out for other languages.  Binaries, shareware, or recommendations for
inexpensive (and compact) commercial products would also be of
interest, as would any general pointers.
