Can someone please help out?

A friend of mine who is an interior designer asked me to recommend a
(PC based) software package that will help her to keep track of work
orders from the day she begins working with a client to final billing.
She knows next to nothing about computers.

Each work order is unique - she might design a window dressing
composed of three different fabrics from three suppliers, with frills
from another supplier.  She needs to have a simple way to keep track
of how a project is going, including how far her secretary has gotten
on ordering material.  Then she would like to keep track of billing
for each order.  

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
