Some groups of opinion include: A favoring of change to the semantics of / relative to Forth-83 independent of technical issues. Objection to the new semantics of / as defined in BASIS. I am also not hearing the same pattern of issues regarding /MOD and MOD as concerns / . Support for increasing the role of unsigned division with single precision operators is generally favorable. There is, however, at least some objection to adding "new" division operators, and whether a single precision U/ is in widespread use has been questioned. The naming issue is unclear. I can go into more detail on each of these issues. If you have interest or opinion, my phone number is (415) 659-1334 x352. ----- This message came from GEnie via willett through a semi-automated process.
