Message-ID: <9008061929.AA10247@crayola.cs.UMD.EDU> Date: 5 Aug 90 05:20:29 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: Sound Software Lines: 24 Approved: laser-lovers@brillig.umd.edu While getting pricing on a Laserjet IIP the other day, the dealer suggested I consider the IBM Laserprinter E. The price was about the same as the IIP, and it's claimed to be slightly faster and robust than the HP. Further, options included a cheap upgrade to 10 ppm, an optional 500 sheet paper bin, and a cheap Postscript option. My main intent for this printer is for running TeX output, and I don't really expect to need the Postscript as long as the laserjet dvi driver gives me what I need. Does anyone have any comments on this cheap IBM printer? Or is it better to play safe and stick with the HP?
