See their ad in PC Magazine. It is the original PS35, not the PS17, and comes with 1.5MB of memory. Delivery was promised as 5 - 7 days and it arrived via UPS yesterday, one week after I ordered it. My friend just picked it up today and is in the process of setting it up, so I can't report on that. The TI is obviously based on the Sharp JX-9500. They look virtually identical, except the TI does PS of course. I've owned the JX-9500 for about 5 months and been quite pleased with the print quality. Also our church has a TI microLaser connected to a Mac - it has been getting a LOT of use for over 6 months with not a single problem. So far, I'd give a hearty recommendation to either the TI or the Sharp. These printers are not based on the Canon engine, and do not use the single Canon-type replaceable unit. Instead, the toner and developer drum are replaced separately. This arrangement should prove slightly cheaper in the long run, I think. -- byronl@techbook.COM ...!{tektronix!nosun,uunet}techbook!byronl Public Access UNIX at (503) 644-8135 (1200/2400) Voice: +1 503 646-8257 Public Access User --- Not affiliated with TECHbooks
