I hope this is not an excessively dumb question. I'm new to Minix, and I'm trying to install 1.3 (as supplied by PH) on my Tandon Plus (286 box, perfectly AT compatible in my previous experience, 1M ram, with hard drive that I haven't managed to get to work with minix - It keeps on complaining about /dev/hd0 when I do the suggested test dd if=/dev/hd0 of=/dev/null count=1000, though it is there - but that's another story). My question is: Every so often (half hour or so), the system gives me the error: Unexpected interrupt or trap: vector=13 pc=0x1DC text+data+bss=0x9A0 After that, as soon as I do anything that involves accessing the disks, the system just hangs on me, leaving the disk drive light on, and I have to reboot. Does anyone know what this error message means? Thanks for any help. John jlb@aipna.ed.ac.uk
