I am attempting to download and extract some of the binaries
from the pc binaries newsgroup. There is periodically a post
which explais the procedures to do this. I am having a problem.
I e-mailed the poster of those procedures and got no response.
Posting in that group is for binaries only, sooo, here's 
hopefully as good as anyplace to inquire out loud...

I can create the UUDECODE.COM file with no problem. I have used
both the DEBUG and BASIC methods, both work fine. But when I
try to decode the LOOZ.UUE file by typing:
  UUDECODE LOOZ.UUE
it churns for a while then says
"no end found"
if I much with the blank lines (returns and such) at the end of the
LOOZ.UUE file the message changes to:
"input file error"

helpful hints and comments would be appreciated.
