Only the cursor is repositioned in both the insert and overwrite modes. The manual talks about hard and soft tab switches, but they don't seem to make any difference. Question 2: How does join lines? In vi you can just press 'J' and the beginning of next line is moved to the end of the current line. In other editors and wordprocessors you can just keep pressing delete key and the lines will join, but in PWB editor (same in M editor) the delete key doesn't join the two lines. thanks for any info, gary
