I've been using Microsoft Word 5.0 to produce mailing labels for a newsletter.
The labels are made by Avery and the instruction sheet provided the following
specs:
	/FORMAT DIVISION MARGINS:
		Top = .58"; Bottom = .42"; Left = .45"; Right = .35"
	/FORMAT DIVISION LAYOUT:
		Columns = 3; Space between = .38"
I've been printing these out on an Apple LaserWriter II without incident.
I have not, however, been using the print merge facility; I just lay 'em out.
