My suggestion is to get and IDE controller and disk Thats wrong! I am succesfully running IBM OS/2 1.2 with a RLL controller & disk, WD 1006SR2 and Seagate ST-4096 (RLL'ized :-). No special disk driver is needed for OS/2, the standard AT bus disk driver that comes with OS/2 works well. As far as I know, some IBM PS/2 disks are also RLL. The interface of MFM and RLL controllers is both ST-412/506, with different data rate and sectors per track. Carefully written disk drivers can handle both.
