The Save feature of the Desktop Manager states that some programs use the saved information to decide their appearance on the next start-up. I found that File Manager for instance appeared indeed as an icon if I did a Save when File Manager was iconized. I tried the same with Communications Manager, but it worked not. I have CM configured to start up VT100 terminal emulation and it is annoying to see CM starting up as a full window application, destroying the PM Desktop just to return to the desktop a few seconds later to run in iconized form.
