I am currently using patch version:
$Header: patch.c,v 2.0.1.6 88/06/22 20:46:39 lwall Locked $
Patch level: 12

When I run patch with a patchfile sent to me via the mail, I get most of
the file patched, but the last patch aborts with the following message:
Assertion failed: file "pch.c", line 719


The assertion in question is:
            assert(fillsrc==p_end+1 || fillsrc==repl_beginning);

and it appears to be in a section of code where the patch hunk has been
read in and is about to be applied.

Any ideas?

I am running on SunOS 4.1 on a SPARCstation 1+ .
