I like the machine very much, except that it seems to be fabricated in kind of a cheap way. The processor not in a socket??? Well, anyway, here are some questions: 1) Bru seems to have problems. When I'm supposed to change disks, bru gives me the following message. bru: warning - unrecoverable error on first block: Invalid argument I start it with the following batch file: stack 40000 cd sys: bru -cvDZ -N 16 It's a pity that at least in Switzerland neither HDBackup nor AmigaVision are yet included. 2) The next question concerns the WB menu Tools. In the manual it just says that the application you wish to start via this menu must support it. So is it not possible for me to start e.g. Sculpt with this menu? 3) I hate the #? wildcards. Why did they keep them? So I installed ARP at once. However, the ARP Copy command seems not to work - nothing happens. Solutions? 4) JRComm1.0 doesn't work! It always gives me a software failure saying Not enough memory, which is ridiculous: Any .99 version works fine, and I've plugged in an old 2meg ram board (I can't find 32bit ramchips, everybody wants them :-) 5) Sometimes, a program need a looooong time to build up its screen. This happened with several programs, e.g. SA4D. What's this? 6) In the manual on page 3-80 it says that you can set a new preference (e.g. a new printer) by using the command Printer Laser ACTION USE without opening the editor window. I tried it with to presets called Font11 and Font8 (guess what they do :-) and the command Font Font11 ACTION USE resp. Font Font11.pre ACTION USE but the editor window pops up always. When I click at the Font11 icon, it works. I can't think of anything else, but more is sure to come ;-) -- ------------------------------------ Chris Brand - wizard@sosaria.imp.com "Justice is the possession and doing of what one is entitled to" - Platon ------------------------------------
