I just purchased a 20 Meg Supra 500XP drive with 2 Meg of ram for my A500.
The documentation says that an external power supply is "optional" and may
be needed.  How do I know if I need to buy an external power supply?  Will
the system just not boot up if the 500's power supply is inadequate? Or will
I get random memory losses which could be hard to detect?
