It could be the connector on the back of the GS. It's probably cracked. They crack on my keyboard was so thin, I almost had to use a microscope to see it. So I just wiggled the connector while looking at the bottom of the circuit board on the keyboard and noticed that one of the pins was moving and the crack, then, became appearent.
