Well, resetting the serial ports using the system utilities
worked for a little while in curing my serial port problems
but now they are locked up permanently. DTR is on permanently
and when the comm program is set to 2400 baud the send and
receive lights are both held high, so I KNOW somethging's really
wrong. I'm going to be out of commission for a whil. I'm afraid
the local apple dealer won't be able to do anything but a motherboard
swap (ouch). I can live without the serial ports, I guess, but
it's a pain not being able to use the printer.
