Summary: How do I run Novell from CDOS? Keywords: Concurrent DOS, Novell Netware Message-ID: <6415@wolfen.cc.uow.oz> Date: 8 Aug 90 12:23:05 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: Uni of Wollongong, NSW, Australia Lines: 33 (This is a repost, the first was rejected...!) Hello Networld! We have just bought release 3.0 of DR's Concurrent DOS 386, and I try to make our Novell network talk to it. Anybody with experience? The network is Novell version 2.15, and from plain DOS (3.x or 4.x) it runs by installing the drivers IPX.COM, NETBIOS.EXE and then calling on of the shells NET3 or NET4 depending on DOS version. The CDOS manual tells me to install IPX.COM from the CCONFIG.SYS file, and then start the special command processor called NETWARE, running NET3 from within this. (CDOS is DOS 3.x-compatible except for extended disk partitions, as far as I know). It simply doesn't work - the PC crashes (have to use the main switch) with the message "can't find any network servers". (I have tried booting the machine using DOS 3.31 and DOS 4.01 prior to loading CDOS, but to no avail. Both versions run Novell alone, however.) (BTW: I'm using a Zenith Z-386 SX) If you have any suggestions, please mail (or post, if you think the solution is of general interest)!
