When I run NCSA Telnet 2.3 using its own TCP code, everything is fine (which implies that the NuvoLink SC and the network are working). However, when I run MacX or the NCSA/BYU Telnet package (both of which use MacTCP and the communications toolbox), I can't get through to the network. MacX gives the error "MacTCP Connection Tool Error when initializing a connection: unknown error code -344" and BYU/NCSA just quits. Does anyone have ideas about how to get around this problem? I need to get MacX running on this machine ASAP.
