Some friends and I are just about to finish it (after working through half the term and all of the summer). Pits are bad news. Don't fall down them unless you have mondo hit points because you never know how far you will fall. there is an elevator starting on the first level. This may be what you are falling down. Once you buy weapons, they will never reappear in the shop except plate mail. A new set of plate mail will appear every either day or week... day, I think. Try to start with studly characters. Knights are the best to start with, but you will need a Magus or wizard as well. Good starting setup: Mother: Milkmaid Father: Labourer Race: Dwarven Gender: Male (doesn't really matter) Alignment: Good (doesn't really matter) With this setup, if you position your hours right, you should get a knight on the first time through. If you think I've given ANYTHING away you're sorely mistaken. You have a very long road in front of you- Enjoy it. One more thing: combat may take a little getting used to. There are wandering monsters. Take extra torches everywhere. And READ THE MANUAL. COVER TO COVER.
