Second, there are a number of utilities out there that allow you to alter the System Heap size. Unfortunately, the only ones I can remember are from CE Software... Heap Fixer and Widgets. They both allow you to alter your heap size. I have a Mac Plus with 2.5 Megs. My system occupies about 1200k of memory for the 24 Inits taht I allow to run (I have another 12 disabled), and I am also running a RAM Cache and a Cache for ATM. I have about 10% of free space in my system and it has finally stopped hanging and crashing... 25% seems a BIT steep, don't you think? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ naDev tlhinganpu' tu'lu' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Mangler - Brian La Rose 76366,2114 (CI$) S0091 (AppleLink) decwr!decvax!nicmad!madnix!mangler Mangler1 (America On-Line) "...if I'm cut, I will always bleed 6 colors..."-Guy Kawasaki ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Duj tIvoqtaH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Disclaimer: I have no connection with ARP Software... they are not responsible for what I say... that's MY job...)
