Fedor) Organization: Brown University Department of Computer Science Lines: 22 About the Bible versions that are around... I just came home from Macworld, and I had stopped by Zondervan's booth. There, I demo'd their program, macBible (hey, original name!) which seems pretty good. It does searches for words, combinations of words, in lots of styles, and lets you see the resultant verses in context, etc. They sell five different versions (the NIV, RSV, KJV, Hebrew (BHS) and Greek NT (UBS3, corrected)). The guy quoted $99 for each version. Unfortunately, there's not (currently) a way to do parallel studies, unless you buy two versions and use multifinder. I guess that's not too bad, but that's a stilly thing for them to have done. They gave me a demo disk, which apparently is a hypercard stack. I have yet to look at it. The demo does say "Please copy freely" so if anybody wants to take a peek at it, send me mail. If you send me mail before Saturday, I'd be glad to go back to the booth and get more info if somebody wants... Also: I did get the copy of the pd KJV bible before that ftp server went away. If you want it, send me mail and we can make arrangements. -Dave
