Thanks to local agents Comperex.  

Just in case anyone else comes across the problem, here is what we 
did.

1. Connect pin 6 to 8
	6---------DSR------->-----|-------6
	                          |--CD---8
2. Include HUPCL in gettydefs
3. Disable CLOCAL (kopt set _riscos_ttys_default_clocal 1)
