How do I find out inside a C program (which dials out on a serial port) as
to whether the modem is still connected to the remote machine, or for some
reason it has lost connection.  ie: if the carrier detect signal is still
on or not. I think that some ioctl calls would have to be used, but I am
not sure which and how ?
