We're evaluating some SPARCs running Computervision CADDS and are seeing major differences in interface response from the older Moto-based systems. CADDS makes use of mouse-selectable "dynamic menus" and the critters are consider- ably less than dynamic on the SPARCs. Word is that both Sun and CV are "working feverishly on the problem", but no one has yet really come ` forward to say what "the problem" _is_. Right now, it's roughly akin ` to having a Ferrari with _very_ sluggish steering: move the mouse, wait for selection to highlight, hit the button, wait for execution, and so on. Not a pretty sight. I suspect this is CADDS-specific; it can't be too widespread or Sun would have been lit up long ago. Any comments? Thanks for your time.
