These SS1+'s came with the OS already set up. They have a swap partition and they also swap to a file. We want to make the swap partition larger and make the /var partition smaller, we'll take the swap file out. I realize that swapping to a disk should be faster than swapping to a file but I am not sure how much faster it is. I would like to know if anyone has timings for swapping to a disk partition and swapping to a file? Does anyone have a program to do the timings that they would be willing to share? Please e-mail responses and I will post a summary if there is sufficient interest. Thanks in advance. John F.
