TDS user friendliness Message-ID: <37> Date: 7 Aug 90 10:29:02 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 16 Adrian Lawrence mentions alternatives to naked TDS shift-ctrl-alt- character sequences like keyboard templates or new character mapping. A third alternative is utilizing the mouse support common to most recent PC hosts. A background mouse driver may be easily installed and freely preconfigured by the user. As for my case for instance, fullscreen cursor positioning is done in a second, the appropriate fold is opened by one mouse key and closed by a second. The third key opens a pop-up menu offering a dozen common TDS editor directives. *AND* my eyes are allowed to rest from very much of that nasty keyboard-screen-keyboard-screen flickering!
