Recently, I complained that mail on AIX 3.1 did not handle the ~v and ~e
commands properly.  The problem has now been resolved with the help of Peter
Jeffe of IBM.  Setting VISUAL=/usr/bin/vi allows ~v to work properly.  I was
only setting VISUAL=vi, which doesn't work.  Thanks to all those who responded.
