hi,
i cannot get X11 going. i am using a Tseng labs VGA and a Logitech
serial mouse, and everytime i try to call upX11, i get a grid on the
screen, and what appears to be a mouse cursor, which changes color
when i touch the mouse; then it does nothing; i apparently have to
reset the computer.

i selected 640x480 in xconfig, and port2 for the mouse.
i've tried this on a different machine with a different VGA card,
and a 2 button Dexxa mouse (made by Logitech) with the same result.

HELP!
