I'm quite sure that this is a FAQ, but does anyone know what
fixes have to be done in order to get Emacs 18.55 to compile
under 386/ix rel 2.2?

The compiler complains about sysdep.c line 688. The struct
tchars is not defined.

I want to build Emacs with X-windows. 

Suggestion how to this would be appreciated.
